Does anyone find it really difficult to compliment flirt or tease when it doesn't feel 100% natural?

Yes. I don't compliment on things I have no affinity for exactly because I hate giving artificial compliments and I would hate to receive them as well.

Best you can do is be non judgemental and ask her more questions to get more info hopefully finding something sincere to compliment on.

I have absolutely had this issue. It's quite hard to get in the mood for dates etc on command. In order to psyche myself up before a date, I imagine I'm going on a date with someone I'm really attracted to/really have feelings for. Usually there's someone I really fancy in my life, and I know if I were going on a date with them I'd always be excited. If you can get yourself into that mindset hopefully you should be fine

I actually rarely compliment girls I just met, I usually don't compliment them until I've seen them a few times. Teasing though happens all the time.

The key is for it to become a normal part of how you act instead of feeling like you're forcing it.

i mean maybe when i was a rookie. but you need to develop those good habits. for rookie drivers checking all your mirrors when youre driving might feel unnatural too, but after a few weeks it becomes second nature. same with flirting
