There’s a strong possibility these women complained to their boss and they confronted you on their behalf. The fact that the boss is willing to lose your business over this suggests as much. I generally wouldn’t suggest hitting on women that can’t leave and whose job involves being polite, unless they’re actively flirting.

Most girls hate cold approaches, especially if it happens while they're working or stuck in a line because they can't leave if you make them uncomfortable. The boss probably told you to stop because customers complained about you or are leaving because you made them feel uncomfortable.

People honestly approach way too many girls.

You went out with the intention of specifically meeting girls at a mall. My advice to you is just to not do that. Do normal things with your life, just approach girls on the way if they're exceptional.

Above that, these places then become pickup spots. Girls get used to it and get immediately defensive on approach. Pickup guys often don't know when to leave; they'll keep recycling openers. The really hot girls aren't in a mall anyway, they're on the millionaire's boat.
