I've [24] been hitting on this girl [27] for the past few months and we've been hitting it off. I think, seems like it. She's really good with cars, kind of out man's me in that way but I have a certain skillset where I'm able to bring people together. I'm pretty good looking I think and really confident. I'm just kind of quiet because I think deeply. I also believe that the world can look a certain way if you perceive it to be so. She said she'd go out with me but works 2 jobs and has 2 kids so now really isn't a good time. She's also moving so she said it would be next month that this would go down.

My problem right now is there is a new guy literally 18 years old, and he's kind of really dorky and tall kind of husky, really fucking pretentious and I find this highly annoying. He basically will come up and hit on her and try to get in the way of what I have going on. And he'll make jokes that she laughs at but they're really not funny. I think he's pretty stupid. Although, he knows about vehicles and we work in an autoparts store. I know enough to basically be a manager. I'm also aware it doesn't pay enough for me to take on those responsibilities. He's trying to be a go getter and shit and it's honestly in my opinion just looking like he's trying to suck up to the girl I like to compete with me. Which I would be about, but I still have to maintain my image of being professional. That's just the way I am.

To go further into detail, he basically just talks himself up and to me it's like "common dude, you really aren't that great". This girl doesn't really know a lot about what I have going on in my off time, I don't really talk a lot about it because I don't want to sell her the whole thing. But I'm really popular and less professional outside of work. Pretty loosey goosey. And although he's works on cars I make more money than basically everyone in the store, I'm a disabled Veteran, paralegal specialist. I think I'm also pretty smart as well.

Every time the guy makes a comment or flirts with her, she flirts back with him, it makes me mad but I sort of smile and brush it off. I think she notices this and flirts back with him to get my attention. Which is yes, working very well. And I'm aware that the fear in my body, when I'm looking at both of them flirting is all just over exaggerated in my mind. But I don't really like it, and I personally want him to step out of my way. But the thing is, she's our manager. And it's dangerous for me to step in that area like I normally would, because this isn't some party setting. This is the job I work at. I'm pretty convinced she'll get annoyed with him really quick or he'll fuck up at some point because he's so young and childish. I just wanted some advice or maybe a second perspective on my view of the situation. And I normally don't have a problem with her flirting with people. I flirt with customers all the time. It's fun. But this guy's looking like a problem.
