I had this conversation with my coworkers today. I am interning for a company while I work on my MBA. I made friends with a woman and she has introduced me to her circle of friends. We all went out today for lunch these women are all in their 30s and 40s.

Somehow the topic of infidelity came up. One woman confessed to having an affair but she qualified it by saying she had "emotionally divorced" her husband. Pretty sure her husband wasn't aware of that but okay. They all started to feel bad for her because she was in an abusive marriage...later she said "emotionally abusive." But to her those words are practically interchangeable.

After that brave woman's speech one woman ended up confessing about her infidelity from a previous marriage. Turns out she ended up getting pregnant with another man's baby and her being the stoic person she is decided that she would bear the burden herself... by not telling her husband. Thank god for her husband she miscarried.

But then the topic came up of what they would do if they were pregnant with another man's baby. And they all said they would go with the status quo. They started rationalizing it saying they are doing their husbands a favor. That having his DNA is such a pointless thing anyways. Just rationalizing everything, with "he probably cheated on me before" "if he never finds out whats the problem" "child needs a father."

Moral of the story: GET A DNA TEST FOR YOUR CHILDREN.

Men's intense sexual drive was all made to help prevent cuckolding. We now live in a society where men for the first time have the option of knowing for sure whether their children are theirs or not. The CVS DNA test was the best thing in the advancement of men yet most men aren't taking advantage of this. 10-15% of children have a misidentified biological father. But that doesn't mean only 10-15% of men are being cuckolded. Most people have 2-3 children so in those cases it wouldn't be a surprise that 20-30% of men are cuckolded.
