Why is this subreddit not more widespread?

I get the feeling that a lot of people on reddit who know about this section either dismiss it because of the term "Pick Up Artist" and the connotations society has paired with it, or don't want to believe the fact that they might not be all that great with women, or human interaction in general. Ego's are a tough thing to get over for some people.

The thing about /r/seduction is that it requires almost an entire social lifestyle change for most people. What men tend to realize is that the way they've been interacting with women for the past 10, 20, or 30 years has been quite wrong and will get them nowhere with the women they truly want to talk to at the bar, restaurant, bookstore, coffee shop, etc. It takes a lot of work to rewire your brain at such a deep level as basic communication and interaction. It's one of our most difficult traits to learn and master as a species. It never is truly mastered. So to alter it so drastically and essentially start over, in some aspects, after decades spent developing our own unique communicative style is a daunting task. Not to mention the ever-looming fear of approaching a total stranger and somehow jumping into a complete and interesting conversation that is not only terrifying for many, but it is almost completely opposite of our instinctive nature at the neurological level.

Many reasons: A lot of people don't know about it (maybe they hear general crap about PUAs but they don't know anything about the community- and especially not seddit).

A lot of people reject the thought of seduction because of its negative connotations (I probably would have too, but I was lucky to get a lot of experience before ever hearing about the community).

A lot of people get general advice from other idiots and are too lazy/ignorant to look for any more info.

And people here generally aren't too outspoken about seddit, for good reason: the ratio of AFCs to legit PUAs is already HUGE, so if more AFCs come, they're just gonna ask more standard-AFC-repost questions.

Then there's also the unfounded belief that if the whole community becomes a household thing, we'd be fucked because girls could magically sense our intentions (this isn't true, but people worry about it).

Seduction is something people have to discover on their own when they no longer want to be AFCs. Anything before that will just be met with disbelief.

It's grown by 50% in the past few months, and is now about 25% the size of r/sex. It's already too big, if you ask me.
