Bio: I am confident and have an attractive figure. I still don't interact with people unless needed.

Problem: I wasn't always confident and fit, it happened over the course of the past year and a half. Before that, I was very shy and obese. At a certain point during the transformation, I realized that I'm awesome in most ways I can imagine. Before that point, I did lurk on Seddit and browse web for social advice. Multiple times, I heard that an "Alpha" male should not apologize unless it is absolutely their fault. I always say I'm sorry whenever do any action that MAY cause a SLIGHT amount of discomfort. In a laboratory, if someone asks me for the shared E. Coli sample that I've just left at my table, I will say something along the lines of following: "oh, sorry for hogging the sample, here you go." If someone bumps into me, I always say "my bad." Given that I do say those very non-chalantly and as a mere formality, is it something I should cut back on?

I heard comments from couple of my very close friends that I apologize all the time, but it does not sound like I mean them (apology is emotionally detached from the issue at hand) unless I actually fucked up (in which case I am the most sincere apologizer in the world).

I'm sorry if I came across as arrogant, I do not express these thoughts IRL, but I wanted you to know how I actually think before trying to hand me a solution.

^ There, I gave you an example to work with. That is about the smallest thing I will apologize for, maybe smaller.

Edit: grammar.
