I have this girl in a mutual friend group that I’ve known for almost a year now. It seemed like we really had a connection when we first met, amazing eye contact, she was touchy feely with myself only, and seemed like she wanted to hang out one on one at venues and was always trying to separate us from the group somehow.

One other friend questioned me drunkenly one night about a month ago, while the girl i liked was not there, and asked me if I liked her, told me she sees a connection, told me the girl thinks that I like her etc.

I asked her out the following day, and she said we have a connection but that she’s not dating right now. Okay fine by me, we can still be chill and now the ball is in your court.

Fast forward to yesterday and I found out she told her girl friends in the group and our mutual friends that I asked her out. That kinda pissed me off a little. Why would you tell other people something private, if you knew it was gonna come back to me eventually.

What do you guys think about this? How should I proceed?
