Technically speaking, one doesn't. It's simply a risk you accept, granted, that risk smaller than you think if you're being smart about it.

Use condoms
Avoid women who are dishonest or deceptive
Get tested regularly yourself
Avoid one night stands and wait a week or so at least before pulling that final trigger.

Filter women. Thats part of seduction. Look for red flags during your interaction.
