The game is a great book but it's great for entertainment purposes only. It's very dated and is not a tutorial on how to game. I'd start with models by Mark Manson. Also tons of good info on this sub, look at the sidebar and sort on top all time comments. Great material

The best advice is, don't have a game. Games are for guys with no self-confidence, and books on how to have a game are just money sinks.

The whole thing about trying to trick women in the bed is ridiculous, maybe if you're some kind of a scam artist, but if not, what you need, are just social situations where single women are going to be around. Friends of friends, volunteer work, community events. Stuff that gets the initials social interaction out of the way and you can just get to the conversation.

Just try to meet people, practice your conversation, when it clicks it clicks.

There are some great game books. Why Women Have sex, Never Split the Difference, Meet your happy chemicals, and Influence: The Psychology of Persuasion. Rather than watching a ton of dating coaches who may or may not be good, I would recommend studying as much human psychology as you can. Your game will sky rocket, since girls are people and all of these "tactics" people say you could stem from human psychology.

Read a variety of books on game don't depend on just one guy's method. You have to compare the methods with each other and compare them to the real world as you know it.

When looking at PUA videos, compare lots of different coaches. Look at the vibe they're projecting. The way they come on to you in the video is the way they come on to women and the way that you will appear to women if you follow their method.

Watch the guys whose vibe is the one that you want to have. If they seem preachy, dogmatic, overly intense, too happy-sappy, too hyper, too cocky, too hypnotic, too weird ... avoid them. If you like their vibe, they seem warm, charming, funny but calm/chill that's probably a better vibe to imitate.

Well, first off, welcome to the real game. Much of which is trial/error. Over time, you'll find what works and what doesn't, and you'll also find that the game changes (despite Mystery Method's claim) in different places, different cultures, and over time. Awareness (which I'm assuming you lack, being a self-proclaimed "good looking" guy, but with no game) is going to be the greatest tool in your arsenal. The more aware you are of your surroundings, the better you'll begin to pick up on social cues from women. You'll begin to see different things, like IOI's and shit tests, immediately. But some skills take time to learn, like DHV storytelling, Negging (the key is, be playful, don't be an asshole; remember you're trying to make friends) and to have any kind of diversity in your arsenal. Diversity is key because over time, you will meet the same girl twice and once the gig is up, the gig is up. Women talk. Remember that.

As far as this being the loneliest summer of your life, I'm sure you've heard the phrase/Blink 182 lyric "Nobody likes you when you're 23." There's some truth to that, but mostly it's just because you're in a strange transitional phase when a bunch of old friends from High School/College/University are moving forward. You probably are too. This, believe it or not, is a good thing because it will teach you the very, very, most important part of what the game is all about - being a better you.
