One of the biggest problems for me is that when I meet a cute girl that I wouldn't mind dating I find out one way or another that she has a boyfriend and is taken. The way I handle this is I pretty much just cut all contact with her and move on completely. Even if the girl goes to my school I pretty much just stop texting and messaging over facebook or whatever. If I happen to see the girls in real life I just wave and keep it at that.

I'm not sure if what I'm doing is right but if these girls have boyfriends already then I really see no purpose to continue talking to them. I don't want to be their friends because I already have a nice amount of girl and guy friends that I'm happy with. They don't know any of my friends and it's just a hassle if we aren't familiar with each other's friend groups. Why would I go through all of these complications just to become friends with this girl? The way I see it we're still friends, I just wave hi and talk briefly if I happen to see them.

I also do this with girls who just want to remain friends. I've always been moving on from girl to girl for such a huge part of my life that I honestly don't care much about dropping everything and finding another girl. I think I'll know for sure when a girl really likes me and when I invite her out she's excited about it and isn't just going to be nice or remain friends, that's what I'm looking for and that's the girl I know I'll want to date.
