You're way in your head, and too focused on this one girl. If you're thinking about where to look you're definitely not having fun and not in the moment.

When you walk into an elevator, you make eye contact with some of the other folks on the elevator, and say, "Hey, man, how's it going?"

Do you know anyone on the elevator? Even better, chat with them for a moment, and maybe introduce them to the girl, with "Hey, Henry, do you know Jessica? She works in accounting. She's hiding in the back corner there. Say, 'hi' to Henry, Jessica." Be friendly to the other people on the elevator. Don't know any one, but recognize a face? Say, "Hey, you're on 5, right? What do you guys do down there? It looks like a front for a money laundering operation or something. Are you a spy? Oh, you're in paper sales. OK, I think you should tell people you're a spy." etc. Worst case, and you don't recognize anyone, or you're in a strange building, simply joke about the crowdedness of the elevator. "I can tell we're all going to be real close." as you walk on. If you can't reach the buttons, confidently ask someone to hit your floor for you (and touch them gently but not meekly on the shoulder when you do it).

If it makes you uncomfortable to keep focusing on the girl, then simply forget about the girl for a moment...and then come back to her when it is convenient to do so. If the elevator clears out a little before your floor you can shove yourself in next to her with a cocky smile, and say, "Back together at last!"

Sticking to a girl like glue is absolutely beta behavior. You'll walk right into the friend zone doing shit like that.

Any excuse to touch. Any.

There are 2 types of kino but I don't know what they're called exactly. One is intentional, the other is indirect.

For example, intentional would be touching her arm when you're delivering a punchline or making fun of her.

Indirect would be like brushing up against her or standing in a position that allows your body to touch.

Both should be balanced, and started immediately. You can't talk for like an hour without touching, then suddenly leap in...

I'm Asian, so kinoing is not something that comes easily to me.

I find this hilarious, as I did a bootcamp trip with an (exceptionally talented) Asian instructor before he got good who was trying to learn kino, and kept weird touching me ;-) The answer is: practice practice practice.

Re your elevator question: chill the fuck out. It's an elevator.

If you want to make a move on her, get her alone and add alcohol and escalate. Trying to think about escalating in the elevator is missing a bigger picture here.
