I have had success with flirting and smiling the entire exchange. Push her just a bit outside of her comfort range (if she starts to blush and look around a bit, you have her). At the very end say boldly, "Write your number on the receipt" or whatever is appropriate, just to respect her privacy a bit. It's a very powerful exchange.

I second this question. Sometimes at nicer department stores, they are being paid to be friendly so IOIs don't necessarily mean the same thing over here. And you don't want intrude on someone who actually has to work. I'd been interested in hearing more experienced thoughts.

They are higher quality women because they are considered "hired guns".

The managers (if they are men, usually) will go out of their way to hire a more attractive woman, as it increases foot traffic and business.

Just remember, they are essentially doing their job by engaging you in conversation. If you feel she asks a question or makes a comment that she wouldn't necessarily make around her boss, then she is most likely either A) very good at her job, or B) opening you.

If you want to pick a girl up at work, go near lunch time or near the time of a shift change.

While it may be seen as a creeper move, you have the option to bounce her to the food court or just hang out at the mall after she gets off. If you can build attraction enough you just might be able to convince her to join.
