Part way through last month I decided I wanted to get good at direct approach daygame.

Since then I must have spent 30 hours in the field. This is easily enough time to approach 100+ sets, but I've approached a grand total of 6. In these sets I mainly had a brief chat with the girl after opening then ejected because I felt nervous, and my nerves destroyed my ability to make conversation.

At one point it did look like I was improving, as I was able to approach one girl every session, but now I haven't approached a single girl in the past few weeks, despite having many many opportunities.

Thing is, once I overcome this confidence issue I know I'll get laid quite often. When ever I have come into contact with women who I haven't had to cold approach (for whatever reason), I have no anxiety and am able to game them quite well. It really is my fear of cold approach holding me back, not 'technical' game skill.

From reading and talking to people, I realize I will have to make around 1,000 approaches to get good at this, and it will probably take around 500 just to get over my extreme anxiety. I know that the first 500 sets I do may scare me, but facing my fear is the only way to overcome it. I am willing to put the hours in over the next 6 - 10 months to make this many approaches.

Also, each time I go out and fail to approach, I actually lose a little bit of self confidence. As a result of this, I actually feel less confident with women than I did 6 weeks ago.

Any advice / hints / tips to help me to approach?
