How do you portray your confidence?

this might sound retarded but you display confidence by how you exist. then everything you do, all of your actions, words, postures, become a conduit for that real confidence. you can display confidence while being quiet, dressed poorly, and even with bad posture. not that you SHOULD. but if your confidence is real, and you've taken time to build it, it's always going to show in one way or another.

I was listening to pick up podcast one day and one of the guys told of a Tony Robbins tape that he had heard where Tony told of a "cape walk."

That is: Walk as if you are wearing a cape. (like superman)

I do it and have had girlfriends tell me they like my body language.

Posture - yes. Stand up straight, head up. eye contact. Arms down or holding something, at a 90 degree angle. (imagine hitch teaching whats his face how to dance in the movie).

dressing well helps, but thats something else. Pulling off crazy attire (picture andre 3000) is another form of confidence.

talking loudly enough so the person hears you. Direct the convo with you and her. Decide what to talk about, when to change topics etc. But assertive in what youre talking about. be animated, be funny, if something challenges her stance (in discussion or something happens around you) and it is opposing to your beliefs or values, stand up for your belief/value. Thats confidence. Cause youre the man, youre right. youre smart and witty. But be careful trying to use logic to win an argument with a woman...... LOL

By being confident. Seriously, if you can become confident it will pervade everything you do. I go out all the time to dressy places/events wearing "too-casual" clothing because I hate dressing up; but nobody ever mentions it because I own it.

One of the early eye-openers for confidence for me was about 10 years ago, I worked for a small company that was mostly 20-something brilliant people - smart engineers but also socially skilled. One day four of us went to dinner at a place we had never been to before. Right after ordering, our waitress said "you guys don't happen to work for [company], do you?" We were shocked, but she said "all you guys from there order so confidently." Now everywhere I go, I always watch people order, most of them are so indecisive and timid it kills me.
