Anytime I get the height question I flip it back around on them. It’s not my problem for being short, it’s their problem for being tall. Girls are so insecure it just becomes one more thing for them to worry about. “Omg does he think I’m too tall??” Now she’s back in the role of trying to prove herself to you so to appeal. (Aka, she’s back in your frame)

When I say I’m 5’5, and they say they’re taller, I say “that’s fine, I dont mind taller girls” I’ve literally never had a problem before after going this route.

Be careful with making fun of yourself. Regardless of whatever she gets, she will either feel you are insecure about her heigh or even the other way around. Many tall women are very insecure about how tall they are. You could expect some shit tests regarding this aspect if she is attracted to you. My height is 173 and I have experienced two shit tests with taller women: Hey, aren't you missing a couple of inches? and Hey, I have some issues with men that are shorter than me. This does not mean that she is going to shit test you but It is ok for you to expect it. If she does, dismiss it with a cocky attitude. i.e. jajaja I'm already more than you can handle. I'm about 5'8.5 and the chick i was dating was about 5'9.5 so i told her, I'm like yo I like you and you seem worth getting to know so far I'm 5'8.5 so just putting it out there. You don't seem to be the insecure type of chick but yeah just thought id put it out there. And she was like nooo, its fine! She was already into me and the height didnt matter. Honestly, it's more about the frame than anything else. Having said that, if you're insecure about your own height then there isnt much that can be done about that. Also, if she really likes you, she probably wont wear heels anyway just so you guys look good together when walking.

The best way to overcome a social obstacle is to be the first to address it. I like your idea of turning it into a joke, but leave it at that. It doesn't matter whether you're short, Indian, or you have bad acne. Own your shit, focus on what you can control, and forget the rest. Sure, she probably won't be as attracted to you if you were 6'6", but you can't grow another foot so stop worrying about what you can't change.

You just have to own it. Fuck lifts. Fuck height gatekeeping too. Who cares how tall she is? I’m 5’6” and it took me the longest time to get over that insecurity, but once you understand that humans look weird as hell, you’ll laugh at all the short jokes. Hell maybe you’ll make a few of your own
