Walk up and say hi, just like you would a set of women. Plow through initial awkwardness, just like you would women. Smile, crack a joke or two, find something to bond over.

Tell the guys they seem cool and exchange contact info.

Done.

I do this on a regular basis.

Also taking photos and then getting someone's Facebook info to tag them is good too.

And if you hate football, don't try and bond over it. Stick to things you actually enjoy :)

Read some of the old school classics like "How to Win Friends and Influence People" by Dale Carnegie. Read some of the PUA classics like "The Venusian Arts Handbook" by Mystery, it has an introductory chapter about how improving your interactions with girls improves the other areas of your life.

Guys tend to focus on control and confrontation, so any time you can get guys out of that mental state, you can befriend them very quickly.

I know these are generalizations, but they tend to work:

When I'm around white jock dudes, I talk about beer and cars.

Around nerds, I talk about machining, school, investing, etc.

Around black dudes, I talk about music and politics.

What I've learned is that most guys respect quiet strength, and will go to great lengths to be nice to guys who are nice to them. Good handshakes, respect, and sureness of self go a long way.

Also, give guys a reason to admire you.

"How do you talk to a group of guys you don't know?" This happened to me recently. Charisma is a simple concept ( i forget where I got the definition ) its that part of your personality that people you talk to find attractive and want to assimilate. It can be style or your swagger. Why does everyone want to talk to James Bond? Motherfucker has mad swagger. He doesn't justify himself, nor does he talk about sports. He does himself at all times. People who have a weaker frame will revolve around him like the earth revolves around the sun. People who have a frame equally as strong will find an equilibrium of mutual respect.

Don't try to outdo the other guys, go along on the same energy level as them and contribute, add value to the conversation or entertainment. Respect them and they will do the same.

You mesh with dudes who are your peers. Have something going for you, personality and skill of some kind. Have hobbies and passions and find like minded people. Then all you have to do is relax and chill with them.

there are two people in a situation. those with the higher status, and those who want it to rub off on them. guess which group you're demonstrating your membership of with this question (and mindset).

now here's the answer you didn't know you were looking for, and you might be miffed that I provoked with that statement: become the guy who other guys are wondering how they approach. this involves working on everything about your life.

i mean, really, how much does becoming accepted by a group change in YOUR life.
