Try to open girl by talking

Don't try to talk to girls on the dance floor. That's where you dance silly. Try to shift gears into 100% body language. Picture what you'd do if you were in another country and didn't speak the language.

Girls In Circles

Approach the cockblock first (chubbier, uglier girl) and treat her to a dance. You don't have to be Tony Danza but spin her a few times and show the group you aren't a creep. Also there's a good chance you can recruit her for introductions.

Flirt Across Bar

Next time this happens, hold out a fist and play long distance rock-paper-scissors. Try to motion that the loser buys a drink. She'll remember you until you get a chance to make it over to her.

Ps. I also suck at dancing but know enough basics that I get by. Remember:

Smile

Move slower. It's much easier to find the rhythm.

Your primary movement should come from your shoulders. Keep level eyes and avoid bobbing your head or attempting fancy footwork.

Drag a girl onto the dance floor with you. Girls will almost never turn you down if you do this confidently.

IMO Dance floor game sucks, especially if you're in a place that has no quiet area to talk. I can get tons of kino and shit, but my success rate without the ability to talk is close to zero. Dancing is GREAT if you already opened a girl somewhere else and get her to dance, but the other way around is very frustrating.

One thing I like to do is get on the dancefloor with a mate and just dance nearby some chick I like. I make myself very tall, dance silly (but coherent with the beat) and smile at EVERYONE around me. It's hard to explain, but it usually works. Just give the impression that you're dancing there because you enjoy it like hell (which you should do) and NOT because you want to pick up chicks. Once a girl I like comes dancing close to me (which happens rather quickly), I give my mate a sign to switch places with him. If the girl comes after me, I'm in. When she's really close again, I dance a bit with her, smile at her, touch her and all that stuff and then I go get a beer, without saying anything. Girl is left confused, but realizes that my mate's still there. Sometimes girls use this moment to ask my mate if I'm single and if they are my type and stuff. When I come back I really get it on and after two or three more songs I'll go somewhere more quiet with her.

But again: In my experience girls mainly dance with guys on the dancefloor to see if they can get a guy to dance with her. It happened to me on more than one occasion that a girl would smile at me all the time until she got to dance with me and then disappeared with a very satisfied look on her face.

Never approach a girl from behind! That's setting yourself up for a bad start at best, tagged a creeper at worst.

Until some guy saw us flirting and immediately started to talk to the girl taking her attention away from me. Then her friends came back from the bar and completely placed themselves between the two of us and sort of took her away. Ooook.

Up your alpha! Don't let yourself get AMOG'd by another guy.

Similarly, if your target's friends come and separate you from your target and you just walk away you look like a chump. Even if you get blown out, its better to try to keep the interaction going.

Technique for the circle:

Nonchalantly dance around the circle. Not like an indian at a pow wow (or maybe just like an indian at a pow wow...), but just sort of dance on this side for a bit, then that side. Obviously the girls closer to you have their back to you, but the girls across the circle can see you. See if you make eye contact. If you do, when you move on to her side of the circle (indirectly), get close, maybe bump into her. If she turns and you get some eye contact again, you have two, maybe three, IOIs.

Improvise from there. Pull her out, or integrate with the circle naturally.

Since you don't know how to dance, just talk on the dance floor. You need to yell, learn to project your voice and never lean in. If you can't hear her, the proper way is to basically turn side to side with her so she can yell into your ear.

For either party it feels more like friends whispering secrets and it won't feel like you are invading her space as much.

For groups dancing you have to capture the entire group long enough so you can ISO. If you feel like your target is hooked/interested. Just say, "I'm tired, lets go over there and talk." Make sure you tell her friends where you guys will be and say you will bring her back, decreasing the chances they'll just come and yank her away.

Once you have her iso'ed game as usual.

You do not HAVE to dance with a girl on the dance floor to game her.
