So I have a bit of a dilemma. I love going out with friends and dancing, but my dance floor is completely awful. I do better in conversational situations, but I have more fun when going out dancing. I just don't know how to approach.

Try to open girl by talking

There was one girl sort of standing off to the side, and so I went over to talk to her. Of course it was ridiculously loud and she couldn't hear a word I was saying. After a little bit of shouting back and forth, I started to escalate physically with her a bit, and she was receptive.

Then her friends came back from the bar and completely placed themselves between the two of us and sort of took her away. Ooook.

Girls In Circles

One thing I notice girls love to do is dance in circles with their backs facing outwards towards everyone. How do you get in this circle to approach? I hate the dudes who just sneak up from behind and start grinding on them (the girls seem to hate it too).

Flirt Across Bar

At one point I needed to get a drink, and there was a girl across the bar I made eye contact with. It was packed so I couldn't get to her, but we flirted across the bar some. Until some guy saw us flirting and immediately started to talk to the girl taking her attention away from me.

So seddit, how do I approach a girl on the dancefloor? I keep hearing make eye contact and then approach, but no girl is making eye contact with me on the dance floor (or if they are, I'm missing it). Also, I realize I don't know how to really dance with a girl
