I met a girl at a drunken dance-party festival this past weekend. Don't remember a thing, but woke up with a text from "R" Sunday morning. Was too hung over to care, so I texted her a little earlier today (Monday).

Note that I was REALLY drunk the entire day - like could barely walk. I'm sure I was being obnoxious and stupid.

  • Me: Hey R, it's D... the tall, totally handsome dude you met at [festival]

  • Her: And I guess I gave you my number lol, hi D. Sorry, I was a tad big overly drunk by that time and don't really remember meeting you. I remember dancing w/ some guy, but that's about it.

  • Me: Lol, yeah, it was a messy day/night... love it! If that guy had really hot dance moves, it was prob me : P Where'd you say you're from again?

  • Her: Hahahha! Hot dance moves? I don't remember that part, I remember youi not being able to dance. I'm from [city].

  • Me: Hahhaha. You must be thinking of the wrong guy then, my moves are sexy lol.

  • Her: You're a white boy, right?

  • Me: Hah. Yeah, Irish guy. Was too drunk for my own good, so I'm just kidding about my moves, they were prob pretty embarrassing. It would be a lot better if you didn't remember that : )

  • Her: Hahahhahahah!! I somehow remember that but I don't remember you or your face.

  • Me: Hahha. The sangria will do that. How do I look? Handsome w a very manly and chiseled chin : ) but I barely remember you either (sorry). I'm in [city] all the time... let's get out for a drink next time.

  • Her: Lmao!!! Yeah, those sangrias were STRONG! but so, so delicious.

  • [she sends a pic of herself]

  • Me: Right... I totally remember you! I'll see if I have a pic.

  • [I send this pic of me, hahaha]

  • Me: You'll have to excuse the messy hair... I work from home, so that's not a priority (awesome mustaches are).

  • Me: Oh, you were at [restaurant/bar] before the festival? Great place. You promised we'd get out for drinks next time I'm in [city]... let's go there.

  • Her: I promised that?

  • Me: No, I made that up, but you should.

  • [no answer]

edit: she answered after I texted again, "Or... no :`( i made up the "you promised" thing, but you totally should anyway.

  • Her: Sorry - I ran out for a bit. Out w/ friends now. But, yeah, lol I def don't remember promising that, but sure, I'm up for drinks.
