Having better game compensates for obvious deficiencies. Ever seen a really ugly guy with a really hot girl? Sure you have. He has game.

But still, looks don't matter that much to girls. If it matters to you, you're screwing up your inner game.

In general though, a profile shot (look away from the camera) with a serious face against an interesting background while wearing something nice but basic ought to do ya. Or a truly spectacular shot of you doing something cool a la scuba diving/wind surfing/saving puppies from a burning building while riding Sleipner should do it. As long as you're not smiling into the goddamn camera.
