Leadership is a very attractive quality. Think of the phrase: "a leader of men."

If YOU dictate how the interaction goes, not just for you, but for your friends & females in your life, it becomes a very attractive quality that sucks people in. Think about a man like Steve Jobs... He can literally create multi-billion dollar markets just by talking about his passions. THAT is being a leader.

So when you tell a girl "We're going out on Friday," or "Come on, next bar," or "OK, back to my place." She will be much more inclined to follow you.

Become a leader of men, and women (whom you are actively chasing) will follow your lead.

That's how you can be chasing and still be leading.

Tofutofu hits it. However, I want to touch on something else as well. When you're pursuing a woman, she acts as the pacer. As you're progressing through the night, there will be certain waypoints that the two of you must pass. It's your job to build up attraction and tension to jump those hurdles, but it's her choice to let you. This means at any given point when you're pushing her boundaries (make out, fondling, sexual touch/sex), it's up to you to lead the interaction towards those waypoints. You lead the interaction and by being a confident and sexual being, you cause her to make decisions on whether she wants it to go further. So you're pursuing her, and she's pacing how fast things will go.
