Hi. Wow. I wish I was 18 again, starting college. There is so much I found out later that I wish I had known then. Anyway, to answer your question, I would suggest the following:

Read "Bang" by Roosh which will get you up to speed on the game concepts.
If at all possible join a fraternity, which was one of the most worthwhile things I did in terms of college experience and social opportunities
Study abroad if you can, nothing like being in a foreign country with your horny classmates.
exercise every day, if you are fat, eat low cal high protein, but don't worry about it too much
wear clean clothes that fit, make an effort to look nice without spending money you don't have
approach often, just talk to girls everywhere, class, cafeteria, parties, bars, library, the street, there is no shortcut to this
don't interview them - stop asking "what's your major" "where are you from" etc.
read about and practice conversation skills
think about how a flamer would strike up a conversation with chicks and do that
but don't act beta
remember, pals before gals

You will have the best time of your life. Remember to major in something economically useful for your life after school.

anyways it's easier than you make it out to be. but all i just said is pointless if the only thing holding you from talking is your own lack of confidence in general.

for that i prescribe a healthy dose of r/fitness and r/fashion.

if you really want to read and study about college game, go check out Conquer Your Campus. It takes most of the principles of pickup and applies it to a college setting.

Just do it, and aspire to approach every single girl that you're attracted to. You'll get good by sheer volume. You're going to fail a fuck ton, have fun with it. Say whatever the fuck you want, it really doesn't matter. The important part is how you feel when you're talking. You want to feel confident, happy, and to some degree horny. Let whatever comes to your mind flow out of your mouth, and use your emotions to shape the interaction.

Flirting is 90% body language and 10% dialog.

Girls hips facing you, or feet pointing toward you = good

touches hair = good

eye contact =good

*Take note of what her body and face are saying, just as much as what she's telling you. How women move are just as important as what they say. This goes for the ladies talking to guys too (the body language cues are just different).

*Your body language is just as important. Don't slouch, it makes you look like you have 0 confidence.

*Look ladies in the eye when you talk, this creates trust.

*Practice approaching often, those that don't fail never suceed.

Not exactly what you were asking for, but one thing that I think would greatly help would be to eat healthy (try r/paleo) and lift weights (r/fitness). A corollary: go slow with the weights and use proper form, as you can potentially injure yourself with certain exercises (squats, deadlift) or from overuse (don't workout if you're sore). Girls your age LOVE muscles.

I know it sounds superficial, but it really helps if you can attract girls to you (even if they are not super attractive themselves), as it builds confidence and gives you instant social proof, which can be useful when approaching.

Otherwise, I would say relax and just try to talk to as many people as possible.

Also, participate in activities as much as possible. Join a club, go to a favorite teacher's office hours, or volunteer to work at an organic farm or something. I definitely regret not doing more of that while I was in college.

You'll face failures along the way, but just keep going and remember that you're in it for the long term, and short-term failures are part of the growing process. Good luck.

If you can't start a conversation with girls how do you expect to maintain a relationship? Ask yourself - is it worth the effort?

Relationships aren't for everyone so don't assume you need one. Sure, they can be nice but like caviar it's not worth the cost for some people.
