I've written about this before on Reddit, but I feel like Seddit has become a place where AFCs go to present AFC problems, expecting PUA solutions.

Obviously this doesn't work, but the allure of posting your girl issues on the Internet and having a "master" come along and give you a magical elixir is probably difficult to resist.

I don't know what a solution to this problem would look like. Perhaps just increase the signal a bit, by having some of the more experienced people in the subreddit post more?

Well you have to understand the thought process that a woman goes through when she is choosing a seat, and just how important it can be to her.

Whether it's sitting at a bar, organizing a dinner party, or getting into a car with her friends, she will put a lot of thought into her seating arrangements. Does she want to be in the front seat, sitting in the back seat, gotta make my mind up which seat can I take, it’s Friday, Friday, gotta get down on Friday, everybody’s lookin’ forward to the weekend, weekend

I agree with your main point (childish games are just that, childish)

Totally disagree. Being a natural you might see it that way, but I've seen plenty of guys completely blow their chances at a sure thing, and guys turn a completely cold girl 180.

So don't worry about everything little thing you say. I've struck out while saying very witty stuff and gotten laid when just drunkenly going up to a girl and making out with her. Go figure.

Yeah, but seddit / pickup in general would probably advise the latter anyway, it would be much better to go in confident and caveman a makeout vs being witty. Witty is not attractive.

Overall you are right most guys overthink things, but if just relaxing and "being yourself" worked, they wouldn't have so much trouble in the first place. If you continue to do what you are doing (pre-pickup) you are going to get the same results (nada).

I tend to over-think every situation, instantly taking each option to its logical conclusion and finding the worst possible way for every scenario to end up, then assuming that that is the most likely conclusion. I acknowledge my problem and I am trying to deal with it. But as someone who experiences this over-thinking, I gotta tell you, it's a vicious cycle.

so long as you're reasonably confident and half-way charming (and look your best), the rest takes care of itself.

Useless advice.

AFCs need more of a script in the beginning because they are none of the above things. Only with practice and time do they become confident and charming.
