Hey guys,

Not sure if I'm overreacting here or not, so I came for other people's insights.

So I'm working on this project at work with this girl, I keep things formal and just joke/tease around at times. We get along very well, text/email each other at times here and there. We're working together, yet we've never had lunch. She usually has lunch with this other girl at work and they're really tight, so I kinda understand that.

So feeling a bit left out, I asked her out for lunch during work but something came up the last minute and she couldn't go. Having to have asked first, I kinda expected, out of courtesy that she would reschedule it but she never did. It's been a while since I asked so saying something like, "So how about that lunch?" would make me sound too, awkward. Although we flirt/tease with each other, we haven't really had time to actually get to "know each other"; mostly joking around with each other.

Okay so this new co-worker comes in, it's his second week here. And they went out for lunch already yet, I never have, even though we're working together.

Is it reasonable to feel like shit or. Am I just overreacting? And yes, probably you figured it out, I do have a slight crush on her but keeping things formal until I leave for my new job in a couple months.

I just feel as if my value to her isn't very...anything.
