Quick story: I made the mistake once many years ago by banging a girl a good friend of mine was eyeing.

I told my friend what I'd done. It strained our relationship and I still feel like shit about it when I look back. Women come and go, but good/best friends are as rare as unicorns.

Funnily enough, I also asked for advice on this topic (on 4chan's /adv/). I received the same advice you're receiving now: bros before hoes. I didn't listen. Neither will you I'm guessing.

On the other hand... If this guy was just an acquintance you met through a mutual friend and you say hi to eachother every now and then, I'd say rail her like no tomorrow with no regrets.

This is obviously a very young or newer RP here, so I have upvoted because all deserve to learn.

Your best friend will be disgusted but forgive you or not even care if you are just banging the girl (assuming he was only friends with this chick).
Where you say "Start a relationship" is where you should get seriously worried about yourself because you still taking Blue Pill. A relationship is something you start pondering and crossing your mind AFTER you've been with the girl a few times and you know her well enough. Not during FB chats, flirts etc. Way too early to say that word ---- it takes experience and RP to correct this --- don't feel bad because basically everybody has been there. That mindset must change and it will change when you start accepting the RP and developing more self confidence.
Early thoughts aside --- Don't even consider a relationship with this girl who hates your friend and your friend hates. Not unless they have made good amends. The reasons for this are:

a) Your best friend knows you and you have a lot in common with your best friend. If he can't stand the girl, he is on to something you will eventually find out on your own. If they aren't compatible being friends, you aren't compatible as partners with the chick.

b) You will compromise your social life with your friend and your shitty new girlfriend. The best and only kind of girlfriends will like or accept your friends --- even if it's just because YOU like them. Typically the guys who settle for less are in a more submissive role in the relationship with the woman dictating things.

c) Even thinking of compromising your social life/relationship with a best friend for the sake of a girl you barely know --- is classic pedestalization etc. Putting her needs above your own so you can be with her.

If you DO ignore all this advice and go out with her anyways, just remember when you put up with her comments or any attack on your friends without defending them--- you will establish yourself as the beta male. When you stand up and draw the line for your friends you will get the respect of your friend, the girl herself, and more importantly, yourself. Once you are established in the submissive male role (beta), she will hold on to you until she's found a more exciting and challenging guy.

TLDR: Hook up with girl, have a laugh about it with your friend. Don't even consider relationships or commitments with such a girl that doesn't like or respect people important to you.

Don't let her force her way into your life especially if you're being played for "feeling bad for her and her situation". If she's playing that card, she can go fuck herself. She can go fix her situation herself. It's not your role to save her from herself. Not only that, but it will never work out because you will enable and perpetuate the helpless mentality at your own expense.

Your priority would be your friend over her, but that doesn't mean you can't fuck her brains out.

So yeah, she'd only ever be worthy of being a plate, I'm willing to bet.
