There was something I used to do at my old sales job called "impact time".

In "The Game", RSD used to get a whole bunch of people together in a seminar and give a big "win one for the gipper" speech while exchanging hi-fives and pumping each other up before going out.

On a personal level, I've found that showering while listening to music, getting dressed while listening to music, and putting your best physical foot forward while listening to music is the best tactic. People really connect with music more than anything else. I really like Club Phusion on iHeartRadio, but that may not be your bag. Pick something this is light, uplifiting, and not negative. Dave Matthews or John Mayer works too.

Definitely like to crank up electronic music. I live with a friend, so I never have to pre-drink alone, and we'll often have bros or lesbros come over to pre-drink with too. Helps you to focus on the fact that you really need to be having fun, and if you can pull some numbers or score a chick, great for you. But it's not the goal of the night; you don't have to be needy because you've already got great friends.
