Why the fuck would you be insulted? He's a good-looking dude. They probably mean it as a compliment, and since we haven't seen a pic of you, they may very well be right. If it bothers you, you should do your best to hide that and take it in the spirit it was intended.

The obvious move is to lean back like a pimp, show her the pearly whites, and say "Thank you. I'm thatguy911, it's nice to meet you." Ok, well I have some experience in this field.

I look like someone famous as well and even though he is a relatively handsome dude I don't take it as a compliment either - in fact when people say something it usually knocks my confidence a little. I become very self conscious. I tend to grow my hair a bit longer which seems to throw the resemblance off enough.

Anywho, my response now to anyone that says, you look like X, is "are you hitting on me?". It works well with women because you immediately flip the interaction to one where you assume the girl(s) is showing interest in you. That will always work to your advantage.

When you say it to guys it can become a little more confrontational. You're essentially questioning their sexuality. When they say "no", you say something like, "why the fuck are you talking to me then?". You don't want to unnecessarily be an asshole to someone, but if they overstep that line and are trying to make fun of you in any way, then they're fair game.

I tended to say something in relation to "oh so you think all Asians look alike".

As one Asian to another, I can tell you that the 'you think all Asians look alike?' line is perfectly awesome. I personally love it, and if it works for you, it works for you. You're overthinking this shit way too much.

I sir have that problem as well. I look like Taylor Lautner's little brother. I have problems as I dont take that as a compliment as well, because of his association to Twilight. But its a compliment and you should RUN WITH IT. Thats what I do.
