I've been talking to a lot of feminist recently, and read a decent amount of feminist literature. I think I understand why PUAs and feminists don't get along, so let me propose a theory.

Let's consider most feminists and PUAs aren't radical extremists, fanatics in their beliefs (because that's not the case).

The big difference between feminists (man or woman) and pick up artists is their frame.

-Pick up artists understand the rules of social dynamics and apply them in real life to grow happy and get what they want. They live in the present. They work on themselves to be a better person, live a better life, and increase their overall enjoyment of life by playing with the rules society gives them. They're adapted to their environment and know what's best for them.

-Feminist more or less understand the rules of social dynamics but don't accept these rules. They dream of a future and want to change these rules to overall improve society for humankind as a specie. It's a political motivation completely (in general) disregarding the individual. Most feminist militant I know have a pretty decent life, have never been assaulted, have a good SO and a nice sex life. But they think about the others, those who don't have that luxury, perhaps not even living in the same country.

For the feminists the gender roles are constructed by society and aren't as natural as we PUAs believe. Perhaps this is true, perhaps it isn't, it doesn't really matter since today there is clearly a gender role, and that we know how to understand it while they work towards changing and maybe erasing it. We actually agree on a lot of things, we're just not seeing things in the same time frame.
