the book "A Guide to the Good Life: The Ancient Art of Stoic Joy" that he recommended seems to be highly praised on amazon. going to give it a read, and if its worth it, i'll come back to post here. thanks for the post

I think it's rather simplistic to reduce stoicism as a "guide" to attract women, which the author of the article mentions in the beginning. I think the point he was getting at was that Stoicism is a good way to groom oneself, (or at least familiarize oneself with at least at a rudimentary level) and attraction will happen.

Stoicism can be seen as something of a mental state, or a "way of being", not dissimilar to the "Tao", or the "path".

Two good introduction to stoicism are The Encheiridion (The Handbook) by Epictetus and Meditations by Marcus Aurelius(the Golden).

TL;DR: Just be.

It's funny. I was just thinking about the link beween stoicism and seduction the other day. I was going to write something similar to this, but now they have saved me the effort.
