Smile is a good sign!! Take a deep breath, and go introduce yourself. worst case scenario, you get her name and thats it. Most people can keep a conversation going after an icebreaker..id try that. If youre in a line, and its long, you could look at her and say "wow, I think I have gray hair from waiting in this line" and then introduce yourself. having something in common right off the bat is a great convo starter. wherever you meet her can be the basis of the starter. its much easier than you think :)

All kidding aside, good to hear OP. I, too, am taking baby steps. I've gotten a bit better with eye contact. Besides this last Saturday however. I totally dropped the ball on building upon my successes.

Next time you muster up a smile and receive one back, make a move! Throw your ego out the window and think to yourself in that instant 'I need to go over there and at least introduce myself. Never any harm in it!'. Make sure you keep eye contact on the approach.

I might be one the few here who partially disagree with the tactic of AAA. I see it a different way. I believe I should always assume there is a way to make an attraction between myself and anyone on this planet.

I always have a hard time justifying that. In my mind, she's just smiling back out of respect. Like 2 people acknowledging each other's presence.

But what do I know! There's probably a reason I'm single!
