I am getting some heat for my statement ...a ballet or other crappy female activity... on http://www.reddit.com/r/seduction/comments/v023j/psa_for_the_mr_nice_guy_out_there/ .

I used to be Mr Nice Guy and I am no more, reading the book No More Mr. Nice Guy opened my eyes and changed my life.

Notice that I use Mr. Nice Guy and Nice Guy independently, they are NOT the same.

When I was Mr Nice Guy I have gone, and often paid for, ballet, dance recitals, theatre, concerts, chick flix, and other activities that I didn't enjoy and that I though were not masculine because..... many reasons, the basis of which was that I was a Mr Nice Guy. No more.

When someone I am involved with suggests we go to a ballet or something that I consider feminine, again keyword here is something that I consider... I pass, and actually I make it even better, better for everyone, I corral some of her female friends, help them organize for them all to go to the ballet or whatever, while the guys do some other activity that I consider more masculine, like.... watching a game, going to a game, pool, whatever.... we all meet for dinner beforehand, and for drinks afterwards; all meaning boys AND girls; and we all have fun.

When the group is 5+ more couple, there's often one guy, usually a single guy, you know, the AFC, the Mr nice Guy, the one who's been friendzoned who somehow gets into the group with the girls going to the ballet or whatever; and at times 1 of the girls bails out from the group of girls, wanting to hang out with the boys.

I am not here to tell you do go shooting pool, and do not go to the ballet. My point here is to look at yourself in the mirror and figure out who you really are, what is the you like in life, and when you do something, what is the reason you do it, if you do it because you enjoy it, by all means, go for it. If you do it because she draws pleasure from it but you don't, IMO it is not correct, once in a blue moon, within the context of a LTR I can see it, otherwise I am of the opinion that is it a bad idea. It is not a question of dominance or being alpha for me, it's a question of being the authentic self for your own sake, and for the sake of that woman who is interested in you and want to get to know you better.

Whether you think you are a Mr Nice Guy or not, if you are hanging out in this forum, invest the time to read the book No More Mr Nice Guy, it will change the way you see the boy/girl interaction.

TL;DR: Be your true self, always
