For the record, I've talked to women before but this is my first time applying the things I learned here to the outside world. This all takes place last Friday (when Abe Lincoln: Vampire Hunter came to theatres) I decided that I would go to the mall with my sister and use the opportunity to open-up, enjoy myself, and maybe even meet a girl to see the movie with. I probably practiced my natural smile in the mirror for half an hour before going out, it's amazing how just smiling can change your whole mind-set.
So when I walk in the mall I'm smiling/laughing with my sister and we plan to meet by the theater around 9:30 (The movie starts at 10:55). I walk towards the food court area because that's usually where the most people are, the entire time I'm giving off a positive vibe. Then I see my friend, whom I will refer to as Devin (HB8), working at the Cinnabon. The only real conversations we've ever had where the occasional waves through hallways and a few other approaches while she was working. I went into the Books-a-Million to prep myself in the mirror/wash my face and then I did it.
I walked over to the counter confidently and asked her co-worker if she was working today and she called for her. At first she seemed surprised to see me but I wasn't phased and leaned in with my hands spread on the counter (to take up space instead of standing there with my hands by my side).
me: (I opened by asking her how her college trip went)
her: It went great! I love it there
me: So it's official! you got accepted?
her: I was already accepted that trip was for the orientation.
I hold some small talk and eventually tell her that I'm going to see a movie later and ask her what time her shift ends. She say's sure and that she'll meet me in front of the theater around 10:55 and gives me her number! (Although I've known her for about a year I haven't #-Closed until tonight, so I was feeling awesome.)
After that I walked around the mall to try and keep up the social momentum that was building up inside of me. I walk into the Pacsun to look at some clothes and talk to the clerk (married HB6). I'm usually a bit of an introvert so I was amazing of the first impressions and the way people treating me when I smiled and opened up to them. While I was trying on clothes in the changing rooms I figured out a weird trick to achieving "alpha" posture. I motioned like I was a quarterback about to throw a football(american) and I noticed that my chest would stick out naturally. facepalm and this entire time I thought that "sticking my chest out" meant over-exerting myself. If you haven't been using this method try it and let me know what you think.
The second approach was to another HB8 with an incredible ass. I'd usually be nervous to her type but I was on a role and really could care less what she thinks. So I was having a good time joking around with the HB6 clerk at the register when the HB8 walks over a bit confused about which register to use, so I motion for her to stand behind me. I tell both of them that the new "Coach" store pays well over minimum wage with a 60% discount on purses and they eat that shit up. I find out that the HB8 works at "Wet Seal" and say goodbye before leaving. I wasn't aiming for a number in that situation but it felt good to plant seeds.
The third approach, and the one I'm most proud of, was to an HB9 (I've seen her before, massive AA) who works the bar area at the Dave-n-Buster's. I just left the restroom when I see her walking towards me carrying a tray of jello shots, i didn't even hesitate when I smiled and asked her, "Are those for me?" She looks at me, "They are if you're 21". I smiled and said playfully, "Oh I'm 21." She doesn't believe me. I laugh "Nah, I'm 18. But you can still give me one." She laughs and says "Nice try. But nice talking to you though" with a smile, as if to reward me for having the confidence to approach her like that. MAJOR SELF-ESTEEM BOOST.
Later on, I'm in the movie and I get a text from Devin that she's outside the theater. She's out of her work clothes and into something more casual. She sits next to me and we make a lot of jokes throughout the previews and movie and I have her visibly laughing, but I refrain from kino because the way she was sitting was giving off closed body language and would have required me to make too much of an effort. At the time I thought it would be better to just have fun with her and see where it leads. After the movie she's excited and offers my sister and I a ride back home but she says our dad's already on his way. I couldn't just leave her standing there alone while we waited for our dad so I declined the ride and got cock-blocked by my sister. We walked her to her car and I hugged her goodbye. Around Sunday I decide to suggest a meet by texting her "Hey let's go rock climbing this week! :)" But still have yet to receive a reply. What's that about?
Anyway, I'm going out tomorrow with friends and if the bar chick is working I'm going in for a #-Close. I was thinking of opening with "Hey, Jello Shot chick!" but what are your opinions? I'm not used to escalating like this, and in this setting so any advice would help tremendously.
