The only excuse anyone has for not meeting women is that they don't want to. I was a CS major with minors in Math and Computer Engineering, worked 2-3 jobs and still had time to party, meet girls and take spontaneous trips. So I'm calling Bullshit

About to be in my junior year of Mechanical Engineering at a top 10 school and I have quite a lot of free time. I sleep 6-10 hours a night during the week. Drink on the weekends go to parties. During the week I hang out with friends, workout, go to the pool, normal college stuff. It's about how you manage your time. Sure during finals I only get about 2 hours of sleep a night if I average it out, but just do your homework and study a little when you're bored and you'll be fine.

join a fraternity, that way they just show up to your events and you have to put in less effort

I go to Michigan State and study engineering. At MSU there is an overall 60/40% girl to guy ratio. There are girls that I have no problem dropping my jaw and stepping on it for. They are gorgeous! However, there are VERY few in my degree. Very few in my particular classes. To make things worse, the lectures are so important that I do not have time to talk/be distracted. However, I would like to say that I am relatively successful with women. I will say that I am struggling to keep my 3.0, and honesty should party less and study more.

My 'strategy' is to get to know a few people in my class whether they are guys or girls. Then when I am struggling with hw I ask to do a study session. This causes a group of people to get together and potentially numbers exchanged; all the while I am still getting my work done. This gets the ball rolling for the weekend when I get most of my flirting on. Don't be afraid to meet guys to get you to meet girls. It works just as well. Get every number you can, add everyone on facebook and always tell your friends to bring as many ladies as possible everywhere you go.

Don't be afraid to talk to the cute girl swiping your ID in the cafeteria or the guy who seems a lot like you in your math class. Chances are they are both trying to meet people, have a good time and hey maybe you can find a girl to canoodle with. Be social and you will do fine.

You'll be fine. I was told on my first day of college (chemical engineering) that you only get two out of the following three: friends, grades, sleep. While this is somewhat true, as I spent countless sleepless nights making up for projects, assignments or studying, it's not THAT bad. I got out plenty in college. That doesn't really mean I was all that successful with women, but that was my own problem. It had nothing to do with how busy I was. That being said, I always considered expanding my social circle and getting good grades to be more important than getting 8 (or 7, or 6, or 5) hours of sleep.

It's difficult by default because your natural environment has a lot of guys in it, most who are usually very studious or pretty awkward. You have to make a conscious effort to find stuff outside of school to meet them.

Computer Engineer at one of the top Engineering schools in the nation, top runner on the XC and Track team. I do nothing but homework, running, and working out on the weekdays but have plenty of time for women on the weekends. They would be missing out on so much if I didn't go out. :)

Studying CSE at University of Michigan, the bottom line is, partying on weekends is essential for unwinding after a stressful/work intensive week. Join a fraternity, you'll find a lot of guys in your situation. Also, being an engineer shouldn't determine your social ability. Just practice ;)

Tell any girl your an engineer, they're interested. actually tell them what you do, they lose interest. And if your a marine engineer, they hear marine and think your studying marine wildlife.

I'm in undergrad in civil engineering. I do get to meet a lot of women who's doing Environmental Engineering and our departments have some of the same classes, but they're not really my type.

I don't rely on my classes or workplace to meet women. Why would you ever do that?

Not a single close friend/girlfriend/anyone I spend a lot of time with is in the same major as me/my field of work.

Just because you're an engineer doesn't mean you have to deal with the negative stereotypes. I've been involved in the seduction community since 2005. Never once has engineering come in the way of meeting people, guys and girls.

Bullshit, I know law students studying for the bar, medical students and even residents that have great success with women.

Engineering is way easier (yes even aero) and any failures fall on the students, not their major.
