/r/seduction, at what age and under what circumstances did you become fully proficiency at seduction and pickup?

This is a bit of a loaded question. There is no age that you can get to where you become "fully proficent". This is like asking "When did you become fully proficent at painting?"

Like any other hobby, you can pick it up at any time. You read online forums, such as this one, to learn the basics of the game. Slowly, you begin to accelerate your learning to the point that you do not need forums anymore. You are able to make your own game, and have confidence enough in yourself to make it on your own.

My own particular experience came from a nasty breakup, where the woman basically told me "You aren't man enough for me". The stars align for me when I recapped my entire relationship and figured out that I was a huge vagina for the entirety of it. This was when i was 19, freshman in college.

Now, almost 21, I feel as though my game is very good. I always had dialouge on my side, but escalation and physicality was the hardest for me to learn. But, of course, your experience will be different.

Continue posting, and listen to the advice that you are given. Some of the advice that you are going to recieve may be counter-intuitive, and that is okay. That is the way you learn. Anything short of cock-slapping her in the face on approach is probably going to be sound.

maybe it will seem like a weird opinion, but i think men SHOULD NOT become good at pick-up too early in their life. I believe that the teenage to early 20'ties awkwardness with women is a good lesson in humility, patience, and value of human relationships. Only after your hart was broken at least once, only after you faced rejection enough times to reflect on your value as a man, only then you should go and learn the game.

In my personal life, I found that guys who had it easy with girls from early on (like me , myself) grow up to be horrible selfish manchildren (like I used to be not long time ago), and its much harder to grow a hart and moral spine when you are already succesful with pickup, than it is to learn game, as a well formed adult.

Its the success with women that makes you a man, but its the FAILURE with women that makes you a compassionate human being, and not a screw-machine.

I'm 21 now and I have to say, the bar scene changed me a huge amount. I honestly just realized there's nothing to be scared of and started talking to more people since turning 21. It's great. I always told myself that once I turn 21, I'll stop being such a huge pussy and actually approach, which is exactly what I started doing. I'm still not at the level I want to be but I'm getting better I guess.

Im almost 21, and finding reddit and this sub-reddit is one of the best thing that happened to me in the last year. Why? Because I had so many ideas, in this case about seduction and self-improvement, but I needed a catalyst for them. I needed something which could help me focus my ideas, and I eventually found it. I'm totally different from the one-year-ago Xeonit. You see, all of us have ideas, but not everyone can apply them in everyday life, because of different situations, habits, experiences and so on.

I agree with bmduffy too, there isnt an age when you become fully proficient.

On the other hand, I believe theres a point in our lifes when we become aware of what we can do. Aware of what we lost in the past years because of the misconceptions we had. For me, it started 2 months ago. And now I see the differencies a lot! Everyhere I go, I meet new people, both women and men.

As I always say and like to remind myself, "Create your own opportunities".

And if you are still scared by approaching girls or going out there to prove yourself, remember that "There are no impossible things, just little motivations".
