First of all, your focus should NOT be on getting phone numbers. In my opinion, getting numbers ain't shit. If you are looking to improve the way you relate to girls in groups, THAT should be your focal point, not the potential follow-up of getting a number.

If you practice entering a random group and getting close/friendly/seducey with your target, that is the most important thing. If the connection gets built, and the attraction develops... then you will find a lot of your logistical problems disappearing. Also, one of my cardinal rules is (some Sedditors may disagree)...

Never Ask for a Phone Number

If the attraction is there and a phone number is productive, she will offer it to you without you asking.

To answer your questions:

1.) Have no regrets. The best way to deal with regret is to be awesome, go full throttle, do what you want, and take risks. That being said, if you really do miss out on something because you messed up, the best way to deal with it is to use it as a learning experience and do better the next time.

2.) You approach the whole set like always, and then narrow it down. If you want to get the hottest girl's number you MUST find a way to make a connection with HER over the rest of the set. If she is less outgoing than her friends and you can't get her interested in being social, then you have a problem. In my opinion, there is no smooth way to get a number out of the one girl in a set that is not participating in the banter and being playful.

3.) How can you compel yourself to approach? That is a tough question to answer because I don't know why you are here on Seddit to begin with. Are you trying to change your persona to become more social? Do you just want to get laid? DO you want a girlfriend? Whatever your reason for self-improvement, you need to use that as your motivation to approach. There is nothing wrong with not approaching a girl because she looks boring/ugly/bitchy/disinterested. But you do need to find enough opportunities to keep yourself sharp. Interesting girls are out there, you just have to find them.

Learn and move on.

Open all of them, slight focus on the one I'm interested in. I only kino the interest(s).

Just do it. You wont gain anything by not talking to them.

You will miss so many opportunities and have so much regret that eventually you will realize, it is easier to try and fail than live with that regret.

If you are alone in a setting, getting one girl out of a group is difficult. If it is a club, not so much. Entertain her friends but talk to her too. If you pander to her friends too long, she will "let" her friends have you and won't see you as a potential partner cause she thinks you are going after her friend and doesn't want to ruin it. Tell her friends you are "stealing" her for a moment and grab her hand and go dance with her. It's a club! In a regular setting, if you don't have someone to wing with you in a group, close everyone in the group including her. That makes her feel more comfortable. If you didn't connect on a personal level with her, plan an event with her and her friends and bring your friends. Girls like guys that plan fun things.

Lower your standards if you want to talk to more girls. You generally don't go from dating no one to dating 9s in one day. Pay your dues, open some 6s, improve to 7s, upgrade to 8s. Just cause you number close doesn't mean you have to call them. I read on seddit that people shouldn't even call getting a number "closing" but screw those people. Getting a number is a very vital part of learning to pick up girls. I know many guys that tell me these awesome stories but then I ask them "So did you get her number?" and they say "No, I didn't have a chance!" Bullshit!
