I don't drink alcohol. How can I still fit in at bars and parties without being seen drinking?

If you read "The Game", you'll notice that they almost never drink, at least never get drunk. It is counter productive to your game as you lose focus.

If you feel out of place without a drink, just drink something without alcohol. Why should they care if you drink or not, it's your choice, right? Confidence.

If it's a guy asking, and you're really insecure about it, just give him some bullshit excuse like, "I'm on some medication for some non-lethal non-contagious condition I have that doesn't allow me to" but really you should work on your confidence. It's probably because he wouldn't know how to act without alcohol in his body anyways, so just be boss about it.

If it's a girl asking, tell her it's for your fitness and transition quickly into what sports or workout you do or whatever. Bitches will think more highly of you if you're confident and fit than drunk.

In the end, it's all about how you project confidence. If you stand there and act like "I'm not drinking because my mother said it's dangerous but I was forced to come to this party by my friend" then you're probably gonna get looked down upon. If however you act like "I'm confident and sober, I'm here to have fun and I am an interesting person" they won't care whether you drink or not.

Just judging from my own experience.

At age of 18. It's cool to drink. Whoever drinks the most is the coolest. Lightweights are taken a piss out of. If you don't drink, you are odd.

At age of 23: Nobody gives a fuck. Everyone wishes they were a lightweight so they would not have to spend all the money on drinking. People can control their drink now yet hangover still suck more than ever. Some people start to wonder if they drink too much and need to cut down.

At age 27: A lot of people wish they could have fun without having to drink. Some people have stopped drinking. Others are feeling their first health problems. If you don't drink, respect to you! It's cool being healthy. Beer belly = not cool yet every other person now has one now.

So I suggest you just don't give a fuck and things will look better as you get older. Fewer people will think it's odd not to drink.

You still need to hold something in your hand or else it makes people feel uncomfortable, no matter how confident you are about it. If anyone ever calls you on it drop the professional athlete in training line and you're gold.

All that said, I would also recommend you loosen up and have some drinks every once in a while. For science.

If you had a weird reason ("Alcohol gives me diarrhea"), I'd say lie, but since you have an awesome reason, it works in your favor. When they ask, it'll open up a new avenue of conversation.

Don't walk around with fake drinks either. You don't need to justify your presence.

As someone who has never drank, this is what I've come across, over the years.

High School and college: Bring your own drinks. There's a good chance you won't find something non alcoholic to drink. People at this age are, in general, dicks. On many occasions, I've had people try to trick me into drink, by either pouring something into what I'm drinking, or claiming there's no alcohol in a drink. Eventually I just started bringing water or soda (20 fl.oz.) and didn't put it down until I finished. If you bring water and leave it out, there's a good chance people will help themselves to it. You can either stash your drinks, or just bring a case of bottled water, and be the person that brought the water. I found bringing the case of water to be the best option. The ones that learn moderation early, will appreciate the option you've provided.

Early / mid twenties: Most house party stuff still applies. At bars, I alway stuck to water or soda. At nicer restaurants, fancy water can be a good option. Here are two rules to follow: Never use a straw, and always tip the bar tender. You'll find that you typically will not get charged for your drink, and refills are almost always free but, if you want to keep from going thirsty, you have to tip.

Late twenties and beyond: Same stuff, but you'll find it easier, in general as people become more accepting. This is the point where more people will react with a "I wish I did that"

A few tips: -Don't make up a story about why you don't drink. People will remember what you say. -Never put down people who are drinking. Phrases to avoid are " Its not for me", "I don't see the point of it", "I don't need to drink", etc... It implies that they require something, that you don't and am somehow better than them. I've always had luck with " I don't have anything against it, I just don't drink" -You will have the moral dilemma of hooking up with a drunk person or not. In most states sex with someone who is wasted, is considered rape (or at least the laws are being proposed) Here's the thing, people know you're sober, so legal or not, you'll be seen as taking advantage of someone. If you were wasted too....eh, drunk hookup, end of story. -You'll find that being drunk is a convenient excuse for doing stupid things. Sadly, if you do something stupid, while sober, you really don't have an out. So keep that in mind. -You are the designated driver, come to terms with that now. The position will become more appreciated as you get into your twenties.

tl dr; Be honest about not drinking, bring your own drinks, don't judge others, it gets easier, eventually people will respect you for it, and always tip the bar tender.

You own it. I didn't drink until I was of age and everyone that asked about it thought that it was awesome. People are going to ask you why you don't drink. Make sure you know why you aren't drinking so your answer doesn't come off as some variation of "uhhhhh, I just don't". Answer with confidence and people will think that you are awesome. Girls think that it is awesome because it shows a measure of self control and confidence in yourself since you aren't giving into peer pressure. Other guys will respect you for it and will have your back if someone tries to pressure you into drinking.

I don't drink (sober for over 10 years) I just don't make a big deal about it, if they press the issue I just say "no thanks. I'm good" and change the subject
