Have default questions, particularly for early on in the conversation. Also as important, know your answers to those questions.

Starting a conversation with a complete stranger can be difficult, and I think a lot of guys don't know what to do after "Hey" (or whatever opener they use).

Knowing the first couple of questions helps you direct the conversation towards your strengths. The questions don't have to be interesting, as long as your answer to the question is interesting.

For example:

Approach, say hi, then: "How are you tonight?" -- Not a great question by any means, and pretty much what everyone else is going to go with. It's a very average question.

She'll probably say something along the lines of "Good, and you?"

Now, the weak response is "Good! Having a great time." The better response is to answer the question and tie in another aspect of your life:

"Great! First night out since I got back from Mexico." "Awesome! Long week at work."

You've laid the bait. She can quite easily come back with "How was Mexico/I love Mexico etc." or "What do you do?". She's involved in the conversation with minimal effort.

Again, you have another awesome follow up. "Mexico was awesome. Got to swim with the dolphins and I punched a shark in the face!"

I like the versatility of this approach. It's natural, it feels natural, you don't come across as a player, it involves her in the conversation. You can adapt it to whatever place you're in (if you're in a college bar, you can use "what are you studying" pretty easily).

When I think about it, this was the only technique I consciously used. Before going out, I'd know my questions/answers, and they'd be enough to start a conversation. I'm a natural when it comes to conversation, so once the talking started, closing wasn't an issue.

The key to making it work for you is that you have to have an interesting answer to her questions -- which is substantially easier because you're setting her up with what to ask. Also, you have to carry yourself well. Dress well, be fit, look confident. Don't overcomplicate things.

Be social with EVERYONE. Seduce/charm men, women, people you want to take home, people you don't, cool kids, nerds, sportos, motorheads, geeks, sluts, bloods, wasteoids, dweebies, dickheads. Find a way to connect with each person.

By building enormous social proof in this way, half of your seduction work (of the people you DO want to fuck) is done for you.

Since this is Reddit, I know the inevitable "but I'm socially awkward/ I'm an introvert/ I can't do it" posts will come 'a' flyin'. Guess what? I used to be socially awkward and introverted, too. PUA pushed me to become social. As with all the other skills, you practice at it, and you get good at it. When you get good at it, you enjoy it.

Since my trip to Montreal I've been doing the double cheek kiss with EVERYONE. It just became this natural thing for me. It gets the ball rolling physically from the start of any date and is also a great date closer as well. Don't hesitate or it will come off as lame and forced. Also learn how to talk with your eyes. Some quality go-to moves:

Twirling girls. This piece of chick-crack immediately sets you up with some social proof.
Put a girl on each arm and walk a lap of the whole place. The more people that see this, the higher your value gets.
High-five everybody to help you get into state. Nobody turns down a high-energy high-five.
