Well, circumstances may vary. But any time a girl has ever done this to me it's when her new guy/relationship failed and she is thinking back to what we had. As long as I didn't fuck it up and acted indifferent (not needy/desperate/mean spirited) towards the relationship ending.

One girl I used to talk with, never had a fight or disagreement or anything, texted me after she broke up with her emotionally abusive ex-boyfriend who she stopped talking to me for. And she isn't the only one. The girls who I acted desperate/needy/clinged onto after our relationship/fling failed have never really came back into my life now that I think about it.

So, honestly, I think emotional comfort and missing you. Or it may be genuinely wondering how you're doing.

Sidenote; Usually if I show interest again they seem to stop responding over time. Take that however you will.

My ex tried the same thing with me. Gave me the old "relationships are even stronger when you've had time apart" line. This is the same girl that up and stopped caring about me after 5 years together because she wanted to fuck more guys, and basically forced TRP on me.

Plate/fuck her if you want, sure. Whether you should take her back as a 'gf' depends on how you broke up, which you didn't tell us. (IF she broke it off, you should NEVER take her back as more than a plate.)

From a Red Pill perspective what she wants is attention and validation. This is a very clear pattern of female behavior.

She's likely been dumped or "between" relationships so you're seen as a provider of attention. Don't fall for it.

As for being able to plate her...no you can't. You're too invested evidenced by your confusion about why she's reaching out. You'll be wrapped up in the drama and she'll use you as an emotional tampon until she finds the next guy.

But then again if that is not your thing then do research first like checking her facebook page, ask around about her.

Before contacting her, think about how she, I assume, ended things.
