Outcome dependence is often the result of the feeling that you don't get enough opportunities, so you HAVE to make this one count.

So, take it as a sign that you might need to work on socializing more and in a better situations.

If you are consistently in situations (parties, bars, clubs, school, work, ect.) that you get exposure to girls you are interested in, then you won't have outcome dependence.

If you are happy with your social life and the quality of people/girls around you, you generally don't force anything because you don't need to.

And it is difficult to know how to be pro-active, but not overly aggressive, which is needy.

And being overly aggressive (or creepy?) may just mess up any chances you have with her (or her friends) in the future.

It's definitely a balancing act.

Don't know for sure, but she may have set it up to test you. She may have been trying to assure herself that you interested in her for more than rutting.
