I have a friend that will tell me and always push me to talk to every single girl that walks by or is there at a bar. Like I mean literally every woman in the room is fair game in his mind. Sometimes I find this a bit annoying as it seems desperate and it just kinda makes me annoyed in general that I can't just enjoy my time and just wait to see if someone attracts me then I'll say hi.

I also can be very picky and I like to have some sort of attraction before I approach also. I do have a hard time approaching and continuing conversations but that's another situation. I just feel like making me talk to just anybody isn't going to help me if I'm not interested. I'm still learning to approach someone casually and carrying a conversation so that's something I still need to get the courage to do but when I do have one or two drinks in me I'll be able to do that easier.

The way my friend talks sometimes isn't the way I think would impress any girl also. He's a little forward and one of those typical guys that would just say like, "I like your butt" etc. I just can't do that and feel a bit disrespectful when that's the first thing that comes out of my mouth. I'll say it after knowing the person but that's not something I would say at all to begin. Am I being too reserve?
