So to clarify I have a condition called Avoidant Personality Disorder and it's basically where you keep everyone far enough away from you that you can't get too connected to them. Basically I have the opposite problem of Oneitis where you could put a supermodel in front of me and I'd find something wrong with her enough to not take it past one night or so.

Sounds great but it's not because it essentially keeps me from ever getting to really know anyone else (not very many friends) or share myself with a girl in a serious way. It's like I have great small talk and no substance.

So how do you move past small talk? Is it something you start doing immediately? How do you start saying and doing things to build even a temporary relationship and not some ONS (Cause I'm basically a homerun hitter now where I hit it out of the park on the first night or I strike out completely).
