Any of you guys are living with elderly mother?

I live in a medium sized aprtment, but i feel bad living with her, socially limited and i wouldnt feel good bringing women home (if i ever could..), i am able to rent an apartment on my own, but since she is quite old and sometimes needs help, i just couldnt ditch her, ofcourse she is furiously against it as well.

Is that a very compromising situation for my future or i should just try to overcome it mentally?
