So I'm still working on getting over approaching. I get in the zone sometimes and approach, and feel unstoppable even after getting rejecting or even blown out.
However, today I approached a girl. I was walking down the street and saw her leaning up against the wall on her phone texting. I went with an indirect opener, and we started chatting. She slowly opened herself up as she began qualifying herself to me (some stranger).
After a few minutes, I asked her for her number which she very enthusiastically gave me. I mean, before I finished saying "phone number" she was already grabbing my phone from me to put her number in.
The friend she was waiting for arrived and she had to leave. But considering it was my first approach, I was feeling great. However, in a weird sort of way, I kind of wish I had been rejected. It really is helpful when you get rejection out of the way earlier (especially at this point of my learning process) so that the fear is no longer in the way.
It's funny how I've started thinking this way. The next 2 approaches ended in me getting numbers as well. I know numbers don't mean anything, but sometimes a rejection is like ice water being thrown on you and you feel sort of invincible.
