I joined Seddit as a 'nice guy' a few months ago in search of solving problems with my 'one-itis' and to get better with girls in general- and ended up getting immersed in this great community. Read a couple of the good books that were recommended, 'No More Mr. Nice Guy', 'Models' and so forth. Changed my perspective drastically on a lot of things, not just girls but life on a grander scale. Started my own blog about my own self- improvement, currently purchasing an acoustic guitar to learn how to play for the heck of it, among other things. It's fantastic.

Anyway, the event I wanted to share with you guys was minuscule but to me is a testament to how much I've grown. Currently taking summer classes at my undergrad to catch up in my major, and I walked into class and a girl I knew greeted me with a smile. I smiled back and walked to a seat in the middle behind everyone. This one girl I've never seen before- she's from another school yet taking classes here- suddenly got her stuff and moved right behind me- the power of social proof?.

The girl, in my opinion is beautiful so I was surprised when she moved behind me. Thought it was a sign she had interest in me to some degree, and I noticed the girl who greeted me turning back during lecture stealing glances and at one point staring at me while I looked up at the instructor. Anyway, I did not build up the courage to try and talk to her the first day of class but yesterday she was in the same spot behind me, I walked down placing my things and asked her a simple question about the homework, her eyes lit up and I could tell her pupils were bigger than I've usually seen, we had a great conversation, my tonality- calm, cool- was in check. I noticed body language signs- this book I'm reading- her fixing her hair, adjusting her clothes, and her eye contact seemed unbroken towards me and we kept good eye contact throughout.

After lecture to move to Lab, she was fixing her hair while I took my time to walk out and 'followed' me out of class and walked with me. Whatever the outcome of this is awesome, worst case scenario I made a new friend and I'm willing to see where this goes. Such an event gives me more confidence to be less afraid to start a conversation with someone, especially a girl as who knows- they could be interested in me. This is not nearly where I want to be, but this is a great step into transitioning into my best self.

I'm still kind of in shock a girl with her looks might be attracted to me, blows my mind. My demeanor has changed as I walk with more pep in my step, a lot more confidence and self-esteem, and i'm starting to explore the more 'satirical' side of my persona- hoping to start a YouTube channel aimed towards that among other things. A start in the right direction!
