I feel like there's something, like social momentum, that accrues over how much of something you do.
Social momentum is how you become more and more socially calibrated and mentally agile with people the more you talk in a given day, this imaginary "meter" will usually start at 0 the moment you wake up. If you keep talking to people you will become very magnetic to people; especially those hot girls you wouldn't dare talk to when you're kind of out of it socially.
With dating momentum, I've realized since I've been going on lots of dates recently (4-5 a week), I'm really flowing on all of them and getting increasingly comfortable and confident with what I'm doing in them. Take some cubicle worker who goes on a date maybe once a month, and he puts it on such a big pedestal, that he's too nervous to actually put himself out as something attractive enough to see again.
Just a little something I've noticed, dating momentum will start out sort of awkward, but when you get to going on a few a week, you flow so fucking well and become such an attractive man. I quit dating for a month to settle in with my college classes for the summer and noticed I got rusty, because I was immersed in meeting women for about 3 months before. So to take away from this, I would tell you:
Just like talking, dating becomes better and better the more you warm yourself up with it, and consider social momentum still on your dates, you don't want to be socially cold going into them either way on your date day.
e.g. A girl who I got for a date was ignoring me when I confirmed a time and place, I got another girl's number, went on a date with her. When I texted her that I had a great time so far, and I want to keep the ball rolling, I got no response even though she was extremely receptive before. The same day that girl who ignored my confirmation texted me about hanging out and what I have planned and when I'm free.
With someone who rarely goes on dates, they would be crying and be depressed they fucked something up on the date with the girl. Then become a needy bitch and ask her why she's upset and he apologizes for coming off badly. Don't get me wrong I really liked that girl I went on a date with late at night, but I'm too busy trying to plan out a date with this next girl to cry about it; I'll probably call her this week and tell her I'd really like to sit down and have a brilliant conversation with her and build a connection, which I failed at on our first date because it was just a movie she was begging me to take her to. Cliche as fuck, I felt the connective distance between us as we sat down for awhile and were silent, it almost felt awkward because I wanted to get to know her, not watch some fucking movie.
