First approach of the day. She was walking down a busy street a block away from campus. I saw her and was feeling great because it was my first approach so I just decided to yolo it. She had earphones in so I walk up beside her, tap her on her shoulder and say "hey your shoes untied" (my favorite opener at the moment). She looks down and sure enough she's wearing sandals (I knew this beforehand) so I quickly just chuckle and say playfully "ahh got you! I'm just kidding, I wanted to talk to you because I liked your dress it's very colorful". She was smiling and stopped to chat, this led into a fun conversation. I got her name and shook her hand, I kept the mood light and fun, I then gave her my name and shook her hand again and said "confirmed" just to confirm the introduction, I noticed she was smiling and laughed a little at this. Things seemed to be going decent, definitely had some level of rapport. I continued to make jokes and asked her questions about herself. Can't remember the full conversation but I got some info like where to works, and I kept guessing her age and made some jokes like that. Apparently she has an internship and as far as I know she goes to it 5 times a week and it ends at 5:30. She didn't tell me 5 times a week but I would assume that's how it is. Later on I mentioned that we should grab froyo, I told her tomorrow I was busy and that we should plan for wed at 6pm after she's off work. At this point there was a pause and she thinking about it, took her a couple of seconds and I was just chilling there. She said "how about.." and I figured she was going to say she'll give me her number so I just finished it off and said I'll take your number and we can plan something. I got the number, I think as I was doing this I tried to confirm it at 6pm wed yet again but I think she told me something like her schedule varies or she has to find out (I'm not good at remembering the bullshit excuses each girl throws at me because in the moment I usually just brush over them). I took the number, chatted a bit more, texted her my name there, shook her hand, and left. I'm not sure if things are going to work out. My plan is to text wed morning and just assume she's agreed to it by sending "hey __! reminder: we're grabbing froyo tonight at 6pm!". Do you guys have any tips or advice? I want to send a reminder text but I don't know how to word it so that it doesn't sound so needy.
