Thanks for sharing. Everybody had a number of missed opportunities like these, but they are too rarely reported. I remember once a girl wanted to show me how to kiss, I was in her arms but turned her down uninterested. She was so unhappy for the rest of that trip :( Never had the opportunity to apologize to her, alas.

Tough night! Next time you break contact, don't go to the bathroom though. It happens to everybody at some point, but the girl can't read your mind. Turn away, recognize your mistakes more quickly, then pounce on it. You could have made out with her right there if you turned back and looked her in the eyes.

Honestly a dick move on your buddy's part. If I see that my friend is focused onto a girl I would help him out/be the one giving him a pep talk, and encouraging him to get back in there.

Seduction is not about being selfish, it's about being the best you can be, and being better than all those other guys. Don't let this one get you down.

Sometimes we learn lessons the hard way. I can still vividly remember the first opportunity I had to kiss a girl I loved but didn't. It still haunts me to this day. But no matter :) So long as we better ourselves, we'll be invincible!

I too know the feeling of losing out to a friend, but the lesson really does burn into you for life. Next time you catch yourself looking away from a prime moment, you can still save it with style. As she looks away disappointed say "Hey" or "I gotta tell you something", or whatever. Right when she looks back, lay one on her. I've done that with hugs as sort of a push/pull. I'd go in for the hug when she expects a kiss almost to disappoint her, and as I'm pulling away boom make out. It becomes more of a pleasant surprise than something that was almost planned with the whole looking into eyes and moving heads business moments ago. Except in your case you didn't kiss her. And no, don't hug her in a kiss situation. I was describing a situation where you'd be parting ways or something.
