Personally?

I accept that chase from at times. and a lot of times, I don't care. because I know i'll get laid. then I can just stop talking to her if I felt it wasn't worth my time (usually never is because I craved reciprocation a lot more than what I received)

Disqualifiers.

By running direct game, you get a head start on the romantic tension, but yes, you run dangerously close to being another "I think you're beautiful....please take interest in me" chodes.

Your second or third line needs to be some kind of disqualifier. To paraphrase "I think you're really beautiful, but we totally wouldn't work. Here's why." then maybe some neutral conversation (asking about her).

For a 9 or 10, going REALLY direct might work? I.e. the fact that you're the first guy that night to have the balls to tell her she looks like Olivia Wilde but you can't stand Olivia Wilde might get past the bitch shield because you had such a sacky open? Dunno.

Yeah....just be mindful to disqualify yourself as a serious suitor after opening.

Only the approach really needs to be "chasing." Think about the interaction as a space. You have to move towards her to get her into your space initially. Okay, that's a bit chasing. After that, you don't pursue, you just hold your ground. If she wants to stay in your space, great. If she leaves, you let her go.

You're worrying too much about PUA terminology. It's fine to start off chasing. You're the man. That's how it works. For the 99% of us who aren't George Clooney that's the only option we have. (Outside of social circle, which I think is why that is so much more powerful than cold approaching.)

If you watch naturals, they don't sit at a bar and wait for women to chase them. They go straight up to a girl and start talking. I have a friend who runs the old "can I buy you a drink" and gets more tail than a taxidermist with it. (I can't do that for shit.)

Just deliver a direct compliment. Be genuine. Be cool. Start qualifying.
