Manson talks about this exact thing in Models, citing the example of a friend who was asking girls if he could pee in their butt.

His argument is that it wasn't the insane behavior that drew girls, but rather the correlating confidence his friend had that night, enough confidence to do something like that (I.e. there's a correlation but no causation - it's the confidence that both attracts women and allows your friend to wear pajamas, it's not the pajamas that attract women by demonstrating confidence).

This is just a specific version of peacocking, as pioneered by Mystery. You wear something super out of place to attract attention. The key is, you have to back it up with confidence and non-reactiveness

This makes opening sets a lot easier, because now you have chicks curious about you just by virtue of the weird shit you're wearing.

It acts like a lightning rod for female attention. You'll get a lot of it, both good and bad. Must have ability to consistently pass shit tests, because you'll attract a lot of them.

If he's an attractive guy that's fun to talk to, then I could see the bunny slippers potentially breaking the ice with girls. Much easier to approach when you have a built-in conversation starter.

But a guy who can pick up women with bunny slippers could probably also do it with any other footwear.

This would end disastrously for people who are still developing their skills (that is, myself and most others on this sub).

Meh. You'd be better off dressing real sharp in a suit or tux. You still get attention and a built in conversation starter but you look like James Bond instead of Doofus Bond.

But a Jedi Master shouldn't bother with such tricks. Just be an attractive guy and interact with whomever you want.

This is one of those things where there's probably at least one woman in the bar who will find this attractive/confident/whatever. Some girl will approach him and make a comment about them, and whoever that girl is would be the one he's got to score. But otherwise he's 1) looking like an imbecile in front of the other women 2) earning no respect from other men because he's essentially peacocking and 3) putting all his eggs in one basket which in this case the basket is a girl who's attracted to guys wearing fuzzy slippers in a bar.

Have some self respect and wear normal clothes to a bar.

I think there would only be 1 bar in my city that might let you in dressed like that. So I don't know what kind of bars he's going to. Either way, sounds like a terrible idea, doesn't need a Jedi to know that.
