Only text logistics, and always ask "What's your schedule this week?" rather than proposing dates she might have to say "no" to.

Don't just text logistics because she will be operating from a logical mind and she will forget why she likes you, so always include call back humor/teasing to remind her of the feelings that she originally felt so she will want to meetup no matter her schedule.

Just a few thoughts that used to go through my mind:

I would text funny nonsequitors, send pictures of WTF or funny stuff I came across in real life.
I tried to avoid long conversations. You can get "too safe" in a girl's head and she can get quite comfortable keeping you as a texting buddy. Similarly, I would get kind of annoyed when a girl just texted me about every little thing.
My big goal for texting was ultimately setting up dates. I like spontaneity, and so do girls, so I usually would text "Hey, so and so is playing at the _________, why don't I pick you up and we can check them out - they're very good." I tried to avoid spontaneity on weekends unless I was already out boozing and asking for her to join me and my friends because I've always seen it as she should think that I have plans on weekends (I usually did), and I assumed that she did too, but maybe was flexible, or would like a change in venue.
I don't like the 3 day rule, and I don't like the "don't text her first" rule, and I don't like the "build in x amount of time before texting her back" rules. I just texted when I felt like it.

I have a girlfriend now, but when I was single and dating, I kept myself busy with a few girls. It was fun, but I tried not to overthink texting beyond what I knew worked and what I liked to do.

Nope. I am usually busy enough in my life that when I actually do get a chance to have a short convo over text I naturally just delay my responses. And when I text I'm usually just flirting a bit until my next meet with them. Basically, I do what I want because fuck the rules

Show personality through text (Seperates you from the others and will make her want to text you)
Be Patient (Goes hand in hand with not being needy)

Don't text something that can be asked or said in person, the only purpose of texting is to create another in person interaction. If you can do that you 'win' the texting game. (Don't Start a conversation with her over texting for the sake of only conversation, it's chump like and it's 150% better if you just do it in person)
Be assertive but not demanding over TEXT, and try to make questions into statements ("Hey cutie, theres a party tonight at my friends place, you should come have fun" is assertive and attractive versus "Party at my friends house tonight, come." Is demanding and not attractive)
Calling is always better than texting, if I want to ask a girl out to a 'formal' dinner I will call her 100% of the time. If it's a casual meet up texting is okay.

A thing I do is: Text a girl a lot 2-3 days, than I completely stop texting a day, to see how she reacts. You can learn a lot of the person in question this way, how she feels about you, if she's obsessed...
