Hey all,

So like the title says ..how can I stay "in-state" in an environment that doesn't have a lot of approachable women in it?

This weekend I decided to hit up my local mall to do some cold approaching. Now I'm very new to this (it's only been 3 days since I've started direct cold approaching), but I couldn't maintain my state and I got trapped in my head a lot. I went Friday and Saturday, only approached one girl each day :(

I would come across an approachable girl every 15-20 minutes or so, which meant I would spend 15-20 minutes anticipating an approach. The few times I had a decent chance I would let the opportunity pass me. At the mall, most girls were with a group of friends or family ..and most of the girls that were by themselves didn't seem receptive (head down, looking away, on phone, etc..) I find cold approaching at my college campus much easier because there's girls my age everywhere. Also, a big downside to the mall is that I have to stop and make sure the girl is in my age range, by themselves, and receptive before I approach (which means it's taking me a lot longer than 3 seconds). (Also I know that screening out girls that don't look receptive isn't recommended, trying to fix this as well).

This is all practice for me, so I don't care about being denied. My only concern is that I stay true to the process and gain as much experience as possible. Right now I have to really hype myself up to make an approach ..I want to gain enough experience to approach as if it was second-nature to me.

Can anyone share some thoughts and/or tips on staying in-state in these environment? Also are there any strategies that you would recommend for gaming at a mall or similar low-frequency environment? I currently walk around and stop cute girls to talk to them when they cross my path, would it be better to stay stationary and stop them when they walk by?

Appreciate any help!
